What Can I Do To Be Saved?

If you sense a need to accept the Lord Jesus as your personal Savior and Lord, there can be no better time than right now to settle this matter with your Creator God. Ask God to speak to you as you read the following Scriptures from the Holy Bible:

  • All Have Sinned. Romans 3:23 - "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
  • Sin Has a Penalty. Romans 6:23 - "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
  • Christ Paid Our Penalty. Romans 5:8 - "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
  • Turn from Sin and live for Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:15 - "… He died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf."
  • Confess, Believe, Pray and Receive. Romans 10:9-10, 13 - "That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation… For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved."

To place your faith in the Lord Jesus and receive His free gift of eternal life you must:

  • Recognize that you are a sinner and that you need a personal relationship with Christ Jesus.
  • Confess (or agree with God about) your sins.
  • Repent (or turn away) from your sins and turn to God.
  • Ask the Lord Jesus to save you by His grace.

If this is your decision, say a short prayer to God as follows:

Heavenly Father, I have sinned against you. I want forgiveness for all my sins. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for me and rose again. Father, I give you my life to do with as you wish. I want Jesus Christ to come into my life and into my heart. This I ask in Jesus's name. Amen!

Now, call your Christian friend and tell him or her about your decision! He or she will tell you what to do next.
